Goldring 1000 series

Our rich heritage gives us exceptional knowledge and expertise concerning all things vinyl. Our cartridges, turntables and accessories have evolved from a long line of renowned predecessors. All our cartridges are hand-crafted, including the stylus mounting, wiring and coil winding. The 1000 series cartridges are upgradeable from the 1006 through to the 1042 simply by replacing the stylus.
Goldring 2000 series
2100
The Goldring 2100 is a dynamic sounding cartridge with a elliptical diamond stylus producing high frequency clarity and a good quality sound. The 2100 can be used to upgrade many budget turntables and is an excellent upgrade over many budget moving magnet (MM) cartridges, offering excellent sound quality for a reasonable price.
This cartridge is moving magnet (MM) which can be used with most “phono” or “turntable” inputs on your hi-fi amplifier. If you do not have a “phono” or “turntable” input, you will need a phono stage inbetween your amplifier and turntable. A phono stage boosts the lower signal from this cartridge for use with a standard input on your amplifier.
2200
The Goldring 2200 has an elliptical diamond stylus and plated alloy cantilever, to offer a high definition sound with excellent dynamics at an affordable price. These features, along with the cartridge’s super permalloy poleshoes, make it one of the best sounding cartridges in the Goldring range, a step up in performance over the Goldring 2100.
2300
The Goldring 2300 uses their acclaimed Gyger II fine line diamond stylus, which offers high sonic clarity and excellent tracking ability. The Goldring 2300 MM Cartridge will upgrade many mid-range turntables, allowing them to produce an even finer sound. The Goldring 2300 offers better performance than both the Goldring 2100 and Goldring 2200 phono cartridges.
2400
The Goldring 2400 phono cartridge offers increased resolution, gained by the use of a low mass vital diamond stylus in a tapered cantilever, along with a metal body that offers improved bass power and clarity. This also offers a secure, tight connection to your tonearm. The 2400 offers a better sound than the Goldring 2100, Goldring 2200 and Goldring 2300.
2500
The Goldring 2500 cartridge is the highest model in Goldring’s 2000 range, a fine moving magnet cartridge featuring a tapered cantilever with 2 SD diamond stylus that gives a smooth and detailed sound. The Goldring 2500 also features a metal body that offers stronger bass performance than a plastic design and provides a tight fit to your tonearm.
Moving Coil
Elite
The Goldring Elite is a high-performance low-output moving coil (MC) cartridge incorporating Goldring’s most recent design features. These include new magnetic circuitry, an ultra-rigid Pocan body and a Neodymium magnet.
The Goldring Elite also incorporates a Gyger 1 line contact stylus, providing maximum groove information retrieval and an outstandingly smooth and extended response. Optimum damping on both channels is achieved by symmetrically winding the low-mass armature. Silver wire is used for the coils, which supplies much higher definition than is found in standard cartridge construction. The Elite represents the best in British phono cartridge technology and design.
This cartridge is moving coil (MC) which will only work with a specific “moving coil” or “MC” input on your hi-fi amplifier. The output level of a moving coil cartridge is lower than that of a moving magnet cartridge so this will not work with a standard moving magnet “phono” or “turntable” input. If you do not have a specific MC input, you will need an MC phono stage inbetween your amplifier and turntable. View our range of phono stages or call us if you need advice.

Legacy
Goldring considers the Legacy to be its statement cartridge, the best moving coil it has ever released, a fine model that offers a smooth, detailed, transparent sound suitable for a range of turntables. It features a magnesium outer body containing hand wound coils of high purity copper, within a field generated by rare neodymium-iron-boron magnets. Attached to this is a ‘Vital’ fine-line stylus, chosen for low mass and low distortion.
Weighing in at 8g, the Legacy is designed to play at 1.5-2.0g tracking force. A new performance benchmark from Goldring.
